The Bideford & District Darts Leagues, are one of the major local darts league in North Devon.

The dart leagues have been running constantly since 1946.

The summer league playing format is; Captains Cup, where opposing captains play against each game over 301, then three pairs of 501, followed by six singles of 301, all games in the summer league, have a double to start and finish, and are best of three legs, except in divisions one and two, where singles games are played over the best of five legs.

The winter league format is; three pairs of 601, followed by six singles of 501, all games in the winter league are, best of three legs, straight start, with a double to finish.

Bideford & District Darts League is a non profit making organisation, that has raised thousands of pounds for local charities, with darts players help.

The Summer & Winter dart league matches are played on Tuesday nights at 8pm.

The Summer darts league AGM 2002, will be held at the Bideford Liberal Club, on Monday 4th February at 8pm.

All proposals must be handed into the Liberal Club, by 12pm, Saturday 2nd February 2002.

I received a proposal last week addressed to the Summer & Winter league AGM's, signed by A.Wellwisher, that stated that all league teams should be limited, too three registered super league players per team, whether they are male or female, obviously this person wants too remain anonymous, but this proposal, will be discussed at the league AGM's, when they are held.

If anyone has any points of view on this matter, then please turn at the league AGM's too express any opinions, and vote on this proposal.

People have mentioned that the above proposal is inadmissible, as it is anonymous.

The league committee set a prevenient when they accepted proposals without proper names, and voted on them at AGM's before I was league secretary, in one case by a Mr. Bounce Out (George Davies), who was not even present at the meeting, because of these proposals, the above proposal will be debated at the next AGM's for the Summer and Winter dart leagues.

Until rules are changed about anonymous proposals, I do not have any option but too accept them.
